All persons over 18 years of age earning income in the City of Solon, all business entities doing business in the City, and all residents over 18 years of age having taxable income are subject to the tax. The City of Solon has in place a 2% municipal income tax pursuant to Chapter_891 of the City’s codified ordinances. The RITA website includes forms for payment of city income tax and filing tax returns online for individuals and businesses. All residents and businesses are required to file a tax return with RITA by April 15th for the previous tax year.
